Nice little econ card for Exile or The Professor as it seems they will both be installing a lot of programs over the course of a game.

too slow and limited. i think i'd rather set up an Underworld Contacts or Personal Workshop.

It's not stellar amounts of income, but it's a zero cost card that doesn't require any combo pieces to set up, so I think it's alright. You only need it to fire ~3 times for it to pay off. And punishing the corp for rezzing ICE is always fun :D

Compared to Compromised Employee, you get almost half the effect from the credit-for-ice-rez effect (albeit limited), but on a 0 credits to install card instead of 2 credits.

Underworld Contacts is much harder to get going than this, I don't really rate it.

Personal Workshop is better yeah, but I think this could combo nicely with it.

I think this and Compromised Employee in an ICE annoyance deck (FAO, Cortez, Xanadu, Rook when it gets here) could be another layer of fun
Aesops fodder that might make some profit. Nothing special but not that bad either.
I actually think this card is quite underrated - it seems to me to be at least as good as Compromised Employee.

There are a lot of decks that would have sufficient program costs to spend all the credits on this, and in that case, they are almost as good as credits to your pool. With the lower cost this is pretty solid.

In any aggressive deck which runs a lot and has Pawnshops, this should be an auto 3-of. They're incredibly strong in the early game, and later on they're at worst Easy Marks.
One good thing with Compromised Employee is that you can use the credit the rezzed ice give you with icebreakers to break that ice.
