Interesting hijinks come to mind with a Test Run combo.
this works interestingly with Test Run, since it can fish and install an expensive program for nearly free, at which point you trash the temporarily installed card for a boatload of savings on installing a different card, or more likely a second copy of the thing you used Test Run to tutor and install.

i think it would probably work best with Femme Fatale, which already interacts well with Test Run.

so you get Scavenge and a Test Run in hand. Use Test Run to grab a femme and use it as part of an important run. Femme goes to your stack and then you draw it into your hand. once you get your second Test Run, you fish your second Femme and use it as part of an important run. before it goes to your stack, you trash it using Scavenge, to completely pay for permanently installing the original Femme.

You could also trash the first femme to reinstall the first femme. The game would see femme as a new object and not the one test runned.
How does this work with sacrificial construct? Can I save the program from being trashed?
When you use Sacrificial Construct, the program isn't trashed so the condition giving you the discount (program is trashed) isn't fullfilled. So, no.

I love this card so much... build a whole CT deck around Femme/Test Run/Scavenge.

Unbelieveable how many kids I sent home crying with this... better then my Pokemon days... ;)

This made me think of another minor but situationally powerful use for this card: moving a previously installed program onto a new Dinosaurus (or other program-hosting card). As much as the universe's RNG hates me in this game, I've lost count of the times all 2 or 3 copies of my console have been in the bottom quarter of my deck, but now I don't have to worry as much about a sub-optimal install location.

I play a similar deck right now, coupled with Atman and Inside Job [no Datasuckers]. Same Old Thing helps.
