On-demand Punitive Counterstrike anyone? A whole new use for Jackson Howard (Counterstrike > Jackson into R&D > Lily PC to the Top > Draw it > Play it) . . . that's 4 clicks to fire a single PC twice in a turn, so you just need to find a click to really stick it to the Runner with just one PC in hand.
The runner has to be tagged to tutor PC.
Easy-peasy.
Well, if he's tagged anyway... why not play Scorched Earth?
Influence is one reason, but I've also burned the tag with Lily . . .
More realistically what I like about her is that she can dig an operation to draw and play in a standard 3-click turn. A single on-demand Punitive Counterstrike is pretty nice.
She's ok. $2 and an install for 3 cards isn't that good of a trade. I mean, sure, it's better than nothing. But it's not that great; you're just as likely to get agenda flooded or jammed up in HQ as your are to get something useful.
The on-demand tutor is the real meat of the card, and it costs a click, a tag, and essentially another click as it tutors to the top of R&D instead of to HQ.
So, yeah, the operation tutor can be made to work with sufficient effort, but overall this card seems kind of clunky and a bit inefficient. Playable, but barely.
One thing we haven't talked about here is using this at turn end to make R&D less porous against a Runner who has a lock on R&D.
Click and spend a tag: move an operation to the top for the next access. Multi-access? At least you're thickening the stew . . . probably too slow and desperate; probably an edge case, probably unsustainable . . .
Potentially interesting in Blue Sun where you can trigger her 3-card draw repeatedly off the same card. I often get a mountain of ice out early then have to hustle to draw and advance agendas before the runner gets the kit together to break through. But I'm choking on that 4-influence cost....
