You like that strength 20 icewall, runner?

No, but I don't mind the fact that you've spent 20 actions advancing it. Oh, have you met my friend, Femme?
Not terrible in theory, but as stated above, it's not the money that's the issue with advancing ice, but rather wasting valuable clicks in doing so.
19 actions, technically. But point made. :P Still, Femme only deals with one ice, and anyone running this identity will be running a lot of advanceable ice, one would imagine.

I want this to be good, I really do... unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it's not. Can I spare a click on most turns to pump up an ice? Maybe. Definitely going to test with it.

Can't wait to try this one. I felt forced to use Beanstalk Royalties with Building a Better World. Works well with Woodcutter and Commercialization

Now you will feel forced to advance an ICE every turn...

Well if you´re using this then chances are, you do have advancable ICE which you would be spending clicks to advance anyway. If you don´t care much for advanceable ICE anyway then this identity won´t appeal to you
It is nice with commercialization. Today I received 8 credits per commercialization but that probably won't happen so often.
My thoughts on how to make it better would be 1 recurring cred that can be used to advance any card rather than just ice.

Now you will feel forced to advance an ICE every turn...

Doesn't take a card slot and actually helps you!

If it came with a free action to advance ice, it would be banned within a week.

Lol is it just me or does this card go back to the 2012 election. Obama's "you didn't build that" comment towards entrepreneurs was all Romney hit on forever.

Makes the text flavor even better for a corp deck, lol!
A rather obvious use for Matrix Analyzer . . .
You cannot use that credit on Matrix Analyzer
Ah, good point. Not sure what I was on about there . . . ah, now I remember:

Matrix Analyzer's "advance a card that can be advanced" effect triggers: use the recurring credit from "Because we built it" to pay for the effect: that's clickless, cost-free ICE advance.

Paying for Matrix Analyzer´s ability is not the same as advancing ICE even if the effect of said ability can be used to advance ICE.
Yeah, there's apparently some terrible logic out there that doesn't allow this rather simple combination to work, along with some rather unimaginative types who can't conceive of how it could even happen (uh, Carmen Diego in the same deck will often not allow all of your advances to be spent).

Appalling, really: one has to somehow imagine that ice is not a category of card. Poorly done, that.
The fact that it’s ice has nothing to do with it. Matrix Analyzer says “put a counter on…”. This says “Advance”. Not the same thing.

Ice is a very secure place to store your advancement tokens. Throw in some Shipments from Kaguya (or SanSan soon), Trick of Light them where they need to go when they need to be there, and all the while keep your central servers brutally secure.

Is it slow? Yes, quite. But consider the clicks and credits lost when a runner steals a partially advanced agenda. What were gained from those? A click to install, one or four clicks to almost max it out, all gone. Also consider the install costs of the non-advanceable ice one has to layer on thick, because the older ice fails to keep up with the Runner's rig.

Mobile advancement tokens have a 100% return rate, and BWBI frees up your credits for more important things, like rezzing that Hadrian's Wall or Janus, or using your towering stacks to intimidate your foe to break your trace subs rather than face a fistful of tags and the threat of Scorch.
No, BWBI doesn't free up your credits. You usually wouldn't advance any ice at all. You spend clicks you otherwise would spend on different actions, like drawing and getting money.
And you still have to advance agendas with BWBI. Sure, you don't gain anything from advancements on stolen agendas, but BWBI isn't safe from that at all.

If you're playing this identity, you are advancing ice. If you aren't advancing ice, you're playing something else, and there's a good chance that it isn't Weyland. As a referendum on advanceable ice, yeah, there's not normally a lot to recommend it, but the card set is expanding and making ice and advancement tokens more mobile and dynamic. I'm currently running a deck running BWBI over Hadrian, Ice Wall, and Tyrant (still haven't picked up Swarm, but that's going in), and I pump those up when I don't have agenda ready. When I have one ready and installed, I can Trick off inflated ice, and quick score it, or look like I'm trying to fast advance a big one and bait a run on an ambush.
