Splash this in a criminal deck and it really gets interessting. <_<
Am I right in thinking that the corp manages to be holding two Snares in their hand (plus have 8 credits on hand), and the runner is using this to access multiple cards, then the runner is in danger of being flatlined?

As I understand it, the runner would not be allowed to stop accessing cards in the run after they hit the first Snare.
Nerve Agent + Demolition Run -> Look mah no hands!

To answer your question Berr, you are correct. Runners are not allowed to stop accessing cards after the number of cards they wish to access has been declared (when multi-card accessing is in effect).

In this case, Nerve Agent is much like Medium and has been discussed in the official Andriod: Netrunner FAQ:

If the Runner has a Medium installed with 3 virus counters on it, how many cards must he access from R&D? If he can choose how many he accesses, at what point in time does he choose?

The Runner may choose how many additional cards he is accessing, but this decision occurs before he accesses the first card (at the beginning of step 4.5 of a run). With 3 virus counters on Medium, the Runner must access at least one card and may access up to 3 cards.

Based on this ruling, I would expect Nerve Agent to work the same. You MUST access the first card, as is always the rule; however, the additional accesses you are granted is determined by the player prior to the first access. The fact you are able to access cards in the range of min 1 to max X-1 (X=virus counters), does give you some room to make a decision around the possibility of multiple snares in their hand.

Hope this helps
