I realize that Shapers aren't supposed to have good Killers, but this really could have been 1 cred cheaper.

play with Kate and it is :) anyway I dont think its terrible, as far as killers go, its not the worst, and if you want to keep your influence for other more important things, well here you go.

Hardly a great Killer, but I don't think this card is so bad either. It's almost always more efficient than Pipeline if you're up against a single Sentry and don't have The Personal Touch or an Ice Carver out. The Cloud effect is just icing on the cake, albeit icing that I suspect will only taste better as Shapers get more utility programs like the upcoming Paricia.
With E3 implants (which I was playing in my Shaper deck anyway because of all the HB in my local meta) this card goes from "not terrible" to "almost as good as Ninja"... I like it.

It's not amazing, but in my opinion it's better than Pipeline.
I think this card is better than some people expect. Now it's only good in Shaper, but it can be very good in shaper. In vacuum it might not seem that great, but this card doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Having 2 cloud programs is much better than having just one, because your getting extra benefit for the same investment (Underworld contacts giving you even greater payout). It you already have reason to get to link 2, then the ability has no 'cost'.
Second, E3 makes this card better against the only cards it has trouble vs. With E3 out Creeper is just as good or better than Ninja against every sentry but Rototurret and Sherlock (and only cost 1 more for those).

With this Shaper doesn't have to spend any influence to have a decent (if not the best) breaker package, which will be really important when Kit comes out.

I haven't really gotten this to work yet. If I was using the cloud feature, it would be pushing it over the edge. Unlike Zu.13, which is good even without the cloud, this needs that little extra, I feel.

Breaks Neural Katana for 3 but it's iffy vs sentries with multiple subroutines. Cards like these bring out the E3 (our nickname for the E3 is "the mittens") in the rogue builders but if I have two dots to spare, why wouldn't I bring in some better killers for that price?

I'm thinking... for five, I could have Crypsis or I could have this. This is sometimes better than Crypsis but not that much better.

I think this is a better option for decks that use the new Cloud breakers.  They're powered by the number of Icebreakers and the fact that, in a deck built for them, this will cost 0MU, meaning more room for utility programs.  5C isn't cheap but Shiv/Spike/Crowbar are.  Add a bit of recursion and Magnum Opus and you've the basis of a very powerful rig.

EDIT:  This is a backup for those times you don't have Shiv.  E3 means you're never spending too much to break multi-subroutines.  I don't think this card is good yet, but I do think a Criminal will be able to take full advantage of it once the full Cloud breaker suite is available.

Maybe. As the Zen master says, we'll see.

But, thus far, I've never seen Creeper pay for itself. +MU is relatively easy to come by without undue effort or deck slots (particularly in Shaper), and generally cheaper than 5 to rez 2 per sub ice. The strong case to consider Creeper was in a no-console Shaper deck running some jank (and even then, meh) back when the available Shaper consoles were expensive, but now that Shaper has Astrolabe there's not really a compelling reason to go no-console in Shaper any more.

I use Creeper in a deck in which I also use Sage. When I have 2 link I normally put it down without it using up MU to keep my Sage strength up. Otherwise its not the best Sentry breaker, especially since most sentries have multiple subroutines.
