Interesting. This is the first trace effect that doesn't give out tags
It seems like it could easily be broken, but isn't bad for early game. This may replace shadow for me, but I'm not sure I want to give up the ability to pass out tags. I think draco will be the goto for end the run traces.

It's also worth noting that that's the image on the box for what lies ahead. I had been wondering what it was exactly. Now we know.
Other cards in the core set do traces without giving tags, Data Raven (Counter), Ichi 1.0 (Brain Damage)

Data Raven (core)'s purpose for the counter is to hand out a tag at will (not to mention it gives a tag just for approaching it). Ichi 1.0 (core) gives a tag in addition to the brain damage he does.

This piece of ice has no way to give out any tags whatsoever.
I'm still torn on whether or not to include this in a deck. Getting money from it could be nice, but once the runner is rabbit hole'd up, this does nothing.
Early game this could be very powerful either costing the runner a lot or gaining the corp credits, mid to late this is pretty much a dead card. Not sure wether it's worth it to include.

Awesome art btw.

I have popped it in nbn decks with chilo city grid, 2 more traces in a trace heavy deck, giving me money to spend on other traces for more tags! (My tagging record is 16 at one point 11 of them from one turn!)

In Weyland I find myself preferring Draco over this. Neither are effective if you can't win traces, and if you can I'd prefer giving the runner a tag. One more avenue into a possible tag + False Lead + SE victory condition.
