In other cases, it will be a great way to manipulate Runner's score. But as for Snare!, the Corp's economy will have to follow.
How about this for a possibly reason. Run a Jinteki Harmony deck with only 3 pointer agendas, lots of economy, and whatever else. You only need to score 2 of them. But if you get the runner to take these as 100% guaranteed they dont have any other choice -1 agenda point, they now need 3 of your agendas to win. Doesnt matter if they take a second or third one of these. You just need to hit them the once.
There are too many assumptions here that the corp is only placing one of these into archives. How about 2 or 3, with a few shocks for some synergy? Jackson Howard sweetens the deal. Now an undefended archives looks a bad deal for the runner, and your ICE can be somewhere else, doing something important. You can even overdraw your hand to get these in . . . Non-ICE protecting Archives? Yes, please.
Sure, if the Runner has a Frame Job or Data Dealer handy, you're out of luck, but that's a pretty big "if."
Snare is expensive to fire and protects either R&D or HQ once (let's not rely on dumb runners running one in a remote).
The runner accesses all cards in Archives simultaneously, and as the active player chooses the order to resolve effects. So basically, the runner would get to choose to score the Agenda and win before Shi.Kyu would trigger in that instance.
Correct. If the game winning agenda is in archives, your alive-in-archives traps wont stop the runner from winning.
