I guess this is a fine alternative to Rototurret.
Rototurret ends the run, so I don't see this as a straight alternative.
It's soft or expensive when compared to similar early/mid-game Jinteki alternatives (Pup, Yagura, Komainu, Cortex Lock), but elsewhere could act as an alternative if you don't have the influence to splash. You'd never put this in Jinteki, which should tell us something.
It is a cheap influence-free program trasher - again if we were in better times when AIs don't stomp left and right, this might be a nasty surprise for anyone running without Killer installed.
Also this is the first ice that features some decent net damage outside of the Red faction. Not that it matters too much.
