Pros: combos with Blacklist to be a real pain for the Runner
Cons: card title hits close to home
This is a pretty solid asset. Lowish rez, decent trash, strong effect. Obviously a midgame play, usually, so maybe a 2 of vs a 3 of. Soft hoser for PPVP. Hurts Lucky Find. Even puts some pain on Account Siphon / Leg Work / Makers Eye. Might hose MaxX a bit. Even just throwing it behind some nasty little ice and making the runner pay to get rid of it has some value.
The only significant drawback is just that there are so many good cards in the card pool these days, it's hard to find space for cards that are solid & useful but not flat out amazing or necessary to some larger strategy.
If the runner plays an event with Same Old Thing, of which he only has 1 copy in his heap, does Student Loans trigger? My friend tells me that the event card is put out of his heap and into the game in order to play it, so it wouldn't work. I think that's not the case, because Student Loans would then be rendered useless.
