A Mimic for all occasions! Wants some Personal Workshop cycling to keep the cost reasonable.

Could work with London Library, using timing priority to trigger before LL trashes it.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this to drop ever since London Library shipped. Add in LLDS and perhaps Ice Carver and / or Datasucker, and a fun little casual deck might be found somewhere within.

Nice little Icebreaker. It can literally break "anything" without being an AI. Get a Sahasrara online to install for free and you can have some fun times :D

Another thought was to include an Autoscripter, but that wouldn't work... would it?

I don't think it represents a good return on investment w/r/t either influence or credits, but certainly this would work with Autoscripter. What makes you think it wouldn't?

I was hinting at the early phase of a game, with an incomplete suite of breakers. Since you have the name the subtype right after installing Chameleon, there would be a high risk of trashing Autoscripter every time you run a Server with unrezzed ICE; unless you've got a Savoir-faire installed, of course.

But then again this would be very inefficient, since it involves way to many cards (Autoscripter, Chameleon, Savoir-faire, Sahasrara) just to get one type of breaker running.

Yeah, this would not warrant that much support, especially since you'd need other ways to boost its strength (LLDS, Datasucker, etc.). and it's only one breaker (for the turn).

I think this is a nice early breaker on its own, (it wrecks Chimera) but I'd say it really shines with an AI focus

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this card makes pared-down AI rigs feasible again, since it allows the Runner to deal with Wraparound or Swordsman on the fly (a little bit of Snitch goes a long way here, at least against Swordsman, but you could also just install this as a Killer, protecting your Eater, until you run across a Wraparound).

Now that Turing is hanging about, Chameleon is even more useful. It's efficient anti-anti-AI. Pack this with your AI and you're set. If you don't run across any anti-AI ICE, it can stay in your hand. If you want to be really flexible, toss it in the heap and get a Clone Chip on the table. Now your AI is protected and you're ready for anything.

Put this thing in an Atman deck and go back to crushing it, without worrying about the anti-AI ICE (or having to build a full rig to deal with it).

This thing looks inefficient at first glance, but it really streamlines any AI-centered approach.

Does Chameleon return to grip after being trashed or discarded? :x

Its ability is only active while installed, so that would be a 'no'.
