Compared to [SEA Source + 2x Scorched Earth], [Midseason Replacements + BOOM!] requires one card less and is more difficult to absorb, as no I've Had Worse can save you here. In Weyland however, it costs much more influence. It's more powerful in NBN (again...), as Midseason Replacements is in-faction. Plus, there's always Breaking News.
The obvious disadvantage to [SEA Source + 2x Scorched Earth] is the trash cost of 1. Which encourages heavy running, and that's a good thing in my book. For my taste, there's too much of "I will quietly sit here in my room and install stuff all day long" going on.
