Does corp card ability mean only the ID abilities? Either way this is horrible, just horrible. If it worked on scorch it could be a worse Crash Space?
It basically means 'any ability that is printed on a Corp card'.
It's ok. It's basically fairly costed, which makes it seem lackluster because this is the kind of effect that we would prefer to be discounted. $1 to draw in a paid ability window with no cap would be really good. At $2 for the same effect it's an option but a costly one.
It's main advantage as far as I can see is that it offers some protection vs unexpected mid-run net damage losses so that you can keep going without fear of flatline. It's also useful against the various "1 meat damage" effects that are starting to proliferate if that becomes an issue in a given meta. It can possibly save you from a double scorch if you've got enough credits. And so on.
I think $2 to install could have been $1 or even $0 to install, which would have helped this card's playability. On the other hand, it has 0 influence, and an influence cost would have made it basically unplayable, so it has that going for it.
It seems like a viable flatline protection card in a runner deck with a deep bank, particularly if its "connection" subtype is leveraged in that deck.
