This hurts the "Install, Advance, Advance" decks pretty hard. Off hand, I can't think of anything else this is really good for. Chimeras perhaps?
And now, we have 2 characters from Futurama represented as runner IDs. I can't wait for Fry and Bender.
I took my Ian connections deck and tweaked it to suit Leela (+5 inf, and 3x Emergency Shutdown). I'm still looking for the sweet spots on card choices, but after a handful of test games against a friend I'm nominally very happy with Lela.
I'm using Logos as her console, and that's working out great; getting to bounce something of the Corp's and go fetch a card when the Corp scores is a pretty good deal.
The disruptiveness, tempo swings, and ability to jam up HQ are strong "intangible" benefits to her ability, and can really slow the Corp down.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what people are going to do with this scrappy identity; I think she's got some chops and could even be a "contender" for new hotness.
I'm having a hard time judging her, but I have an even harder time seeing her being as good as Andy or Gabe.
As good as Andy? Yeah, not likely. Andy is just OP, in my opinion. The only thing that is going to tone Andy down is more hate cards like Sweeps Week.
Better than Gabe? Yeah, actually, I think Leela has the potential to be better than Gabe or at least competitive with him...depending on the meta.
At this point I've only played half a dozen games with Leela, so my opinion will likely evolve over time, but I played a lot of Gabe early on after release, and my gut feel is that I feel a lot more in control of the game with Leela than I did with Gabe. With Gabe it was always run run run and try to win before the Corp locks me out. I didn't go back to Gabe after Knight and try that variant, but I've played against it and thus know that the Gabe lockout isn't as much of a thing as it used to be. But still; for me Gabe is all about the rush and I'm more of a control player.
Leela is very control oriented; she's all about making the right runs vs running everything, and her ability rewards player skill / ability to manipulate board state. So, I'm predisposed to like her better personally. I'll be paying attention to the tournament winning deck lists to see if the tourney players find success with her, but either way I'll likely still prefer her to Gabe for my own play.
When there are effects that trigger simultaneously the current player chooses the order in which they resolve, so I would be inclined to say yes.
How would this work? Cerebral Static would have been played by the Corp during the Corp's turn.
There's no timing priority to resolve. Cerebral Static is already in play when Leela is stealing the agenda, so her text box is already blank.
I would say this is a definite "no."
I'm with Meadbeard on this one. With Cerebral Static in play, there is no ability on Leela which could trigger.
I get the point bozfoogle is hinting at: since an agenda was stolen, causing to trash Cerebral Static, Leela should immediately get her ability back online. But even then it shouldn't fire since the conditioncheck for "abilities that trigger on stealing an agenda" has already been resolved.
