Nice in Shaper for aggressive rush runners who don't usually play consoles.
Seems terribly situational: does next to nothing against HB and Weyland decks that run one beastly remote, but terrifying against Jinteki server spam.
Seems like it provides a foil against NEH as well.
Akamastu #4 in that instance (if you're not running a different console already). I do have some Shaper builds that this is going straight in for that reason.
Oh yeah, good point this. I missed the install cost of 1. Good call.
I'm glad that this is in the card pool. There is something to be said for a thrifty / modest console for decks that run very lean on cash and don't need a powerhouse console to make the deck work; especially in shaper where the console options tend to be a little pricey.
So, not setting the world on fire, but could do some work in an aggressive and lean Chaos Theory deck for instance.
When do you create a server? I assume it's when you play the first card in the server, even if ice is already present?
No, putting just ice also counts as creating a server - an empty server in that case
If ice is present, the remote exists. Installing the first card in (agenda, asset, upgrade) or protecting (ice) the server creates the server.
