As a Jinteki player, I'd say this is a nice way to get Shi.kyu and Shock into archives in a hurry. Subliminal messaging likes this too.
Hadn't this been a double, this could have followed a Celebrity Gift to make a +17 credits turn !
Jackson likes this too.
And it is great to recover from an account Siphon.
If they ever release an operation that makes you win the game for 60 credits, Cerebral Imaging will play this.
They have come with so many 1-influence.
I still can't figure if it's good or bad for the game.
This combos with panic button. Lets say you have a moderate sum of credits and PB on HQ. Panic all you want if you have this in hand or manage to draw the reuse with panic button. Try to dig for any killing combo pieces or whatever you need. When your turn starts, reuse your gargantuan hand of cards for huge lump of creds! Congrats, you just gained hell of a lot of tempo and profitted from it as well!
A single upgrade on an iceless HQ and the corp has a good amount of creds? Do you dare run on it now?
This card just isn't very good in most decks. You'd want to trash at least 3 cards to make it even marginally worth 2 clicks, and 4 to make it break even with Hedge Fund. If you've got that many cards you routinely don't mind tossing in the trash, you probably don't have a very good deck.
There might be some mild synergy with Subliminal Messaging, ShiKyu, Shock...but Jinteki has Celebrity Gift which is better econ, and getting the traps into the trash is not exactly hard to do as is.
Obviously Cerebral Imaging can abuse it, but otherwise...meh.
What do you think now with Industrial Genomics out? For that ID, it's way ahead of Celebrity Gift. (I get that this hasn't been tested, but there's something there worth looking into).
Sure, it makes sense in Industrial Genomics; so much so that I think it's likely the card was seeded into the pool with IG in mind, and put it into Weyland solely as an influence tax.
Weyland are perhaps the faction that least benefits from Reuse as they have better ways to make money, aren't good at recursion, and don't have effects that care about stuff in archives. HB is probably is least affected by the card's downside, and of course Cerebral Imaging could use it for shenanigans, and also is the faction with ways to fish things back out of archives. Similarly NBN has Jackson and thus have an in-faction way to get stuff back from archives if necessary (though, really, this is kind of a wash as a majority of corp decks run Jackson). Jin has archive traps, and now an identity that works off of archives.
However, back to the point of Industrial Genomics, while this card is an obvious consideration for the ID, I'm personally not convinced that IG is any good, with Reuse or no. We'll see, but IG seems like a casual ID for fun deckbuilding vs a competitive ID.
