Maybe I'm as blinded by greed as GRNDL themselves, but the prospect of such a high return on investment really seems too hard to resist.
Great Jinteki bluff. Install, advance twice, let it sit there until you need it. Then advance it twice more and cash it in for $16. Sick.

Great bluff for any deck which can build a quite solid remote.
Sounds like a Weyland Thomas Haas to me. Less versatility, but more benefits.
In the right deck, it's a damn solid target for Mushin No Shin.

Its fascinating how this is so rarely played. In today's asset spam meta, a potential trap like this should be an autoinclude.

It's a good but underplayed card, I agree. But how is this a trap?

I believe MT means that this can be mistaken for a trap: i.e., it's potentially a Junebug, etc.

Less good than it once was. Councilman can prevent the rez and the Runner can destroy the investment the following turn; ergo, the Corp needs to support it by punishing Resources. More vulnerable than ever to expose effects, especially Drive By.

Makes decent money for your clicks at 3 advancements, so it needs to hold on through at least one Runner turn. If you use Mushin No Shin, you'll want to throw an extra advancement or 2 on during the turn you score it. Your best bet is usually 5 anyway.

Sorry I should have clarified. Yes I meant that it is mistaken for a trap.

I used to play it in GRNDL back in the day before I abandoned that ID. I still play it in a Titan Project Atlas space ice deck, where it works well to bait the runner into expensive runs to create a scoring window, and when they don't run it it pays off for massive profit. However, the $2 trash cost out of R&D is a real downside.

I find that out of Weyland it works better as run bait than as a psuedo-trap. At 2inf I don't really see playing this out of faction for the most part, though I suppose a rogue deck might pull it off.
