Useless against many decks. Not sure how much this will see use.

If they can't break, this is a great surprise ICE on R&D for when they drop Maker's Eye or try for a big Medium dig.

Anti R&D lock card with a decent code gate strength. Normally I would say it is not very good but in a Yog heavy meta (as currently) it is a nice piece of protection.
For an effect as weak as this, I want it to be stronger. I don't see any reason why they couldn't have made it 6 or even 7 strength. Even at 7 strength, it can still be clicked through if the runner really wants to access more than 1 card. This is also a card that has very little use outside of stopping R&D lock, so it's not very helpful on other servers, which is another reason it should be stronger. Sure, in fringe cases it helps protect HQ or a remote with multiple cards, but that rarely happens compared to the prevalence of R&D lock.

Edit: Forgot that you can put this on archives and have it work pretty effectively.
I can see where this might get interesting. It is very meta dependent. It is strength 5 so you cant yog it through without parasite or ice carver. I am also thinking you can put it on archives and if it hits they can only access one card. With R and D mil so strong right now it can be very taxing ice.

Yes, actually I would be happy to use this on Archives and R&D. Anything to slow the runner down while I fast advance to a win makes me smile.
Not better than Eli 1.0, but as an Eli 1.0 for slots 4, 5, 6 this is welcome.

I wish this guy had a third subroutine.

What makes this card awesome is that your upgrades can't get trashed.

..."this applies during the run in which the runner trashes red herrings."...

Not anymore. Lol!

Run on my Hudson, Hourglass, Strongbox server without a Codegate breaker. Or spend 11'$'

I have this crazy idea. Let's say, Hudson 1.0 triggers and a Kitsune lures right behind him. Kitsune forces the runner to access a card from HQ, which disables any access to cards in this server, effectively protecting an Agenda.

That's a funny once-off combo: probably not too easy to be competitive with it (it's a limited combo -- it needs other support to keep the Runner from just running right through it again, etc.). As you indicated, it has to be protecting a remote with Kitsune (Eater, Keyhole, Account Siphon, etc. will not care). Probably better in Jinteki than Haas, since it'll be easier to push the ICE around where you need it; fits the "smoke and mirrors" approach better too.

I like it as an experiment: do tell if you get it to fire / make a difference.
