Poor Exile needs a hug.
This card doesn't seem very useful to me. You usually want to draw a lot anyway.
I can see it being useful with Freelance Coding. Do I draw another card in hopes it's a program? Or do I just work with what I have now?
Well if Aesop is going to be a key card for you, you can at least use the ability as well as sell it for money

Or you could just play one of the good economy cards instead.
yeah seems pretty lame, unless you can change what you pick up what the point? Sure your going to mix up the stack (or whatever) when you tutor, or the like, but big whoop, waste of space!
anybody else seeing the poor keanu meme here?

Still, I don't know how many times I've spent a tutor to grab the card that was sitting on top. At least twice that's happened and it's frustrating. Or drawn my second Rabbit Hole into my hand.

If you didn't have the credits to install the first one or didn't need link, drawing was still the correct play.

Well he did say IF aesop is going to be a key card, so your point is moot. Simple logic there.

Sweet Jesus. My point was that Motivation is a bad card. It does almost nothing to you in most decks (with the current cardpool), because you want to draw anyway.
My point was instead of including a card for the sole purpose of feeding it to Aesops, you could run good economy cards instead. Barring you already run all of them of course. I wouldn't be too thrilled to run 3x delayed Easy Marks instead of them. Simple logic there.

Technically, it could be at least marginally useful in virus-heavy anarchs - Djinn is an on-demand reshuffle that you'd want on the table anyway, so you can use this to check whether to draw for a card or tutor for one. As a sort of "is this card better than an arbitrary virus card right now?"

Shame it isn't neutral, though. I'm having a hard time imagining myself wasting influence on this...

Yeah, this card seems highly situational. It can help with planning exactly how to spend your turn (if you know what Exile is going to draw into from a Scavenge or Clone Chip for example, AND you know you'll use it this turn you could maybe save a click) and I can see a few other niche uses for planning how best to spend clicks for the turn (for example, if you KNOW your next card if a Sure Gamble, might open up more running options than clicking for creds to get into a server but leaving yourself short). On the whole though, I don't see myself losing card-slots for this.
This card has become more useful with the introduction of Record Reconstructor.

Do you mean Eureka?
Useful to set up a correct "guess" with Oracle May.

This + Oracle May is a beautiful thing.
