I like this card. It can be used similarly to Surge, but also help support the static breakers. I'll be fiddling around with this quite a bit, I think.
So you would never have more than 2 Bishops being hosted at once, correct?
No, I think you could have all 3 out if you really wanted.

If/when you want to move it (the individual Bishop), it just needs to bounce from remote to central or vice versa.

Edit, and not be stacked on another Caissa
3 clicks (draw, play, host) to reduce an ice's strength by 2? And uses up a memory? I think I'll pass. This might be playable when Deep Red comes out. Maybe.

With Deep Red it will only be 2, but in the meantime at least it is reposition-able, and brings the many 5 strength ice out there down into Yog and Mimic range.

Which is probably its best use. I can't wait to use this in Whizzard.

Also it could be used sort of like Personal Touch, A.K.A. a psuedo econ card.

So many uses! I didn't think it had this many, but I keep coming up with more.
Datasucker>>Bishop, and they do pretty much the same thing

Normally that is the case, there are the cases though where I struggle to get tokens because all 3 servers are expensive, this would help with that problem.

Most ICE are within Mimic/Yog range when you use Ice Carver, and that setup is less clunky than using Datasuckers. However, there are cards which can't be reached with just Ice Carver, and until now there wasn't any really good ways to reach those 5+ strength ICE (except of course Datasucker, which is why it's so good). Bishop fixes the biggest problem virus-light static breaker decks had, which was 5+ str ICE.

Also, for what it's worth, Bishop can be used immediately, whereas Datasucker isn't useful until you run a central (which could matter for getting into a remote this turn).

I don't mean to say Bishop is better than Datasucker; rather I believe it plays a slightly different role, and is just as good at "doing its thing" as Datasucker.
It's sad, I'm sad. A weaker virus for a weaker theme with weaker support.

 + Wyrm FTW!!!

Wyrm is Str 1 and Pretty much anything else you add will reduce ice by 1 strength as well.

With most ice being in the 0-5 range you're looking at reducing a maximum of 3 Strength in most cases...

Reduce that by another 2 with Bishop and you're looking at a 2 credit spend Wyrm for that last point.

For whatever your purposes are...

I kind of recently came to that epiphany myself Xquared. Wyrm and Bishop/Datasucker/Ice Carver + Parasite do some serious heavy lifting together.

Cross post with Wyrm -

I think by the end of Lunar Cycle, this will be a linchpin card in Anarch (much like Atman in Shaper).

The perfect storm is nearly here for Anarch. Between all of their in faction recursion and out of faction recursion (Clone Chip), Anarchs should have little to no trouble using Wyrm and Knight as their only breakers. In combination with Parasite, Wyrm with Bishop and/or Ice Carver support can eat through low ice really easily by itself (for 3 per sub) and Knight can and should be doing the heavy lifting on multi sub ice.

But what if you run into a multi-sub nightmare like Komainu? Fast install a parasite and eat it down.

I think this card will be getting a bit more play come end of Lunar and/or Anarch big box.
