Holy crap, how does this have a 4 star rating. This card is pretty bad. Costs 6, gets easily trashed out of R&D, forces you to heavily defend HQ...seems pretty damn niche. That being said, I can see a few situations where this card would be decent. For decks that want to heavily defend HQ in the first place, this could be worth playing. But in that scenario, I'd probably rather splash SanSan or Trick of Light and just Fast Advance.

Have you considered how this card functions similarly to Ash or Red Herrings? You force the runner to essentially run through the ICE on both HQ and your remote to get into your remote. Expensive to rez and cheap to trash, sure, but now Weyland has an in-faction Ash.
I think I'd rather just have Ash. Dropping $6 to force a run on HQ doesn't seem too appealing to me. Also, Ash can masquerade as an asset or agenda and might force useless and potentially expensive runs. You have to rez this before the runner makes a run, thus telegraphing your intentions to the runner.
Not very good as a splash, but I like the fact that this card opens up a new deck type, trying to totally lock the runner out of HQ - this is plausible with a well-advanced Hadrian's Wall and a bit of other ice.

Believe me, I'll be telegraphing...
The problem with trying to totally lock the Runner out of HQ is that the runner will just shrug and lock R&D.
Or maybe instead of locking the runner totally out just give him a time hard enough to think you are protecting a big agenda and not a Project Junebug with enough tokens to kill him...

If the runner wants to run your remote but is cutting their cash close, then rezzing this is basically going to shut them out. I agree it's not as good as Ash, but it doesn't cost influence, which could be significant.
Rules question here, if this is derezzed and someone hit HQ, do you have to trash it? I'm inclined to think no.
No, you don't have to trash it. Unrezzed cards are considered inactive.

I don't have the rules on me, but is there a timing window where you can rez it after there is a successful run on HQ, but before they have the chance to run again?
Runner uses click to run HQ, you keep OTG unrezzed. [edit: should not matter whether successful or not]
Runner uses another click to run remote (with OTG), so now you rez OTG. The run is kaput

This certainly isn't the way it works. Once the runner initiates a run, rezzing this after the fact would be too late to the party.

However looking at the timing, you can rez something after an action (like a run) is taken, you can rez this after they run HQ, before they can run it... thats potentially very mean.
good call, my bad
