I love how cool it is. Until the criminal deactivates it. Ugh....
It's ok. It's the best target for Bioroid Efficiency Research, so dedicated decks will like it, but outside of that I have a hard time seeing it fit. Against Criminal you have to put it on HQ, though, to minimize the chance of Emergency Shutdown, but it's actually pretty awesome on HQ since it also blocks Siphon. Of course, then comes Sneakdoor Beta and you're left with nothing but lost dreams.
I would feel much better about this if it wouldn't just end the run.

first bioroid that can't be bipassed by clicks, makes it kinda interesting. Also another 5 influence card.
Could have a home in a 'cheating ICE' deck with oversight AI and BER.
I feel this card is amazing. It is not a suprise card but it has to be the most taxing on the runner in the game. I have played this several times and I have always been happy with the results. What you have to keep in mind with it is it has no ambush value because at most the runner will lose two clicks. But it being str 10 makes with FOUR SUBROUTINES makes it the most expensive ice to break through. There is a reason why you are only allowed one out at a time.

I have heard some people criticize the cost but with bioroid efficiency research its a easy card to get out. At the least the runner must spend at least 10-13 credits to get through it with a breaker. The easiest way to get through it at the moment is not currently in the meta with E3 feedback filter.

The other criticism I have heard is that the runner can still get through it willingly but I figure that this card hurts so much to get through that I am more then happy to let them go.

E3 doesn't work with this, as E3 triggers upon breaking subroutine, and unlike other bioroids, which state you can break their subroutines with a click each, avoiding the subs here won't actually break them.

The cheapest way to pass it is Femme Fatale, at 4 credits.

I also love that brute-forcing your way past Wotan by not breaking also won't trigger the condition on Oversight or Bioroid Efficiency, meaning it doesn't trash or derez. This card really is a monster.

I have mixed feelings about this card. I don't think you would ever want to pay to rez it, so no surprise factor. It's obviously a great target for Bioroid Efficiency Research and a pain to deal with if rezzed. The problem I have is that once rezzed, the runner can plan for it. Without any icebreakers in play or extra cards needed, they could spend their turn (4 clicks) to get past it for 3 bits. It needs support to protect agendas. Even with another ICE in front of it, the runner can still get through with Inside Job and 3 bits. Since it's worthless without other cards to help you rez it and not a fortress on its own, I can't get that excited about. It's also unique, so you can't build a deck around it without wasted draw.

I would rather have a Heimdall 2.0 protecting my agendas than this and while expensive, it's far more conceivable that I can pay to rez Heimdall 2.0.

On the other hand, I could argue that for 2 cards and 3 bits, I can put a virtual lockdown on a central server. Worth including 1 copy in a Bioroid Efficiency Research, but not a game changer for me.

MagisterWrigley, Wotan does not have the passive ability that lets runners spend a click to break a subroutine.

Maybe a runner could plan around that, but if they want to spend 3 clicks, pay 3 credits, trash a program, and take a brain damage to get through one piece of ice I would let them do it happily.

If you can't pay the cost, it ends the run. A runner without a program installed can't get past the "End the run unless the Runner trashes 1 installed program." subroutine.
