This combos well with New Angeles City Hall! I like!
It combos well with NACH, but like Frame Job, you run into the issue where you're giving up a lot for not a lot of return. Still, this could be a card that gets better down the road.
Oh hey. I will let you scorch me, burry my resources, you can even throw SEA away BUT i will have ONE free cred. Of course if you don't like the deal Mr. Corp you can always trash that card instantly. Suicidal runner deck only.
This combos well with NACH? That's like a judge on a cooking show saying that he liked the combination of cheese powder and Kraft Dinner. Just because they go together doesn't mean that they don't suck.
    • Meadbeard and Arepo like this
Very niche, and you have to have the right combo of cards to pull it off, and in best case scenarios, is a one-shot. In truth, it's just as rough as a Frame Job, though not as immediately stupid.

Suggested combos:
  • Decoy, NACH: Burn the first tag you get from ActSup
  • Raymond Flint: Hey, access HQ without running. Probably a better deal than with Frame Job. Will work best if you're running against Weyland, for their new BP effects.
  • Aesop's Pawnshop: If you think the Corp is going to trash ActSup for you, you've got another think coming. An automatic Corp-start tag every turn? They will offer pay the play cost for you. Get the BP, and then get out.
  • Data Leak Reversal: Well, you're tagged, and you will be for the rest of the game. Might as well make it hurt.

Do do brain - if you have NACH then you could just pay 2 to avoid the tag. Where as the publicity stays with the corp and can be used EACH RUN as a free credit!

But if the Corp doesn't want to get BP it can trash it first click. This card is resource.
NACH allows you to prevent being tagged on the Corp turn, but so what? You're spending 2 credits on something where you'll have to make 2 runs, runs in which you're spending other money in all probability, in order to break even. So on that level, this is a trap card that makes you want to run even when it might not be in your best interest to do so. (see also:Grifter)

In return for that, you've put two resources in your deck that are good in concert with each other, and lackluster on their own. (NACH I've looked at considering the skies are filled with Weyland Orbital Nukes, but it trashes itself right when you'd need it most: when you've made a successful run and stolen an agenda.)

So, this card will only be good when there are real reasons for Bad Publicity to work to your advantage. Raymond Flint, for example, or the upcoming Blackmail, and hopefully more besides. Using your Bad Pub only for $1 per run is like...clicking for money or clicking for cards. It's the baseline, default, least efficient use of your time. Call me when the game is worth the candle.
At first I thought it was give corp bad pub every turn in which case this would be pretty sweet. But as it is it's extrememly situational and basically useless

As-is, without other support cards, I do agree that this card is pretty niche. But assuming you can land tha BP, I think people are vastly understimating how powerful that can be - particularly in an Anarch deck, where runs are already cheap. if you run often, and can reduce the cost by a credit every time, that's going to amount to a lot, potentially enabling runs you wouldn't have been able to launch without.

However, if you have the kind of deck that focuses on one good run each turn, then that BP is going to take a long time to be worth the trouble you went to to stick it.
Data leak reversal decks but otherwise it's not worth it. Even then vamp is probably better.
Data Leak Reversal decks already have John Masanori for on-demand tagging. This one doesn't use clicks, but the timing at the beginning of the corp turn basically means it needs to be paired with City Hall.
Good thing blackmail is coming out in the next data pack, which means the card won't stay just a bookmark for too long.
So you will probably be giving the Corp a bad reputation... How best to use it? You can't fight it that you got a tag... would be just a downhill battle so...

You must replace all monitary gain through research resource cards with hardware
ANSWER: Magnum Opus and events like Easy Mark.

You have just been given a better version of Desperado. What console should you use to maximize this?
ANSWER: Doppelganger (with a successful run you make make another run netting you two per click)

Doppelganger lets you attack frequently but that won't be worth it without attacking the central servers. How to maximize this fact?
ANSWER: Medium, Data Leak Reversal, Sneakdoor Beta and other programs that maximize your card draw from R&D and HQ

(Opening hand is Activist Support, Medium and Doppelganger and they don't protect the R&D well?
Turn 1
1. AS 2. Doppelganger 3. Credit 4. Credit
Turn 2
1. Medium 2. Access two cards plus two credits 3. access four cards plus two credits 4. access six cards plus two credits
Demolition Run to trash whole hands and stuff.

You have an option if you would rather run as Criminal or Anarchy.
Regardless, your going big or going home. Run Kraken. And Plascrete Carapace.

I'm not sure if you're leaving out actions in your post or are just playing medium and doppleganger wrong but if you can explain how on the same turn that you installed medium you're accessing 6 cards (and gaining 2 credits per run) I'd be very interested. And of course there is nothing that prevents the corp from trashing Activist Support on their turn and never even getting the BP

Probably not terribly worth the BP just for running purposes but with NAPD everywhere this could be a pretty decent way to choke those a bit, if your deck is already otherwise suited to having tags.

But if the Corp doesn't want to get BP it can trash it first click. This card is resource.

If there were a Runner event that cost 1 and said "At the start of the Corp's next turn they lose 2 [Credits] and 1 [Click]" would you play it?

"...and give yourself 1 tag." An important consideration.
