Ideally you should be able to place a remote server protected by 2 layers of ICE on your very first turn, allowing for a 3/2 or 3/1 Agenda to be scored on the very next turn. If that Agenda is Accelerated Beta Test or Gila Hands Arcology, you should have another strong boost in the right direction. Just keep placing ICE to protect your HQ and R&D, and score every 3/2 from your hand with Biotic Labor, getting it back with Archived Memories whenever you need it. Basically this deck should go very very fast, because when the runner has a complete rig, there's not much that could get in his way... every ICE has a very low strenght anyway. It works quite fine against Crypsis-based decks, however, but gets utterly destroyed by Atman-based decks. Thing is, the economy could hardly support stronger and way more expensive pieces of ICE. |

@notyetsuperman - You probably won't need to rez both pieces of ICE on the remote, the second one is for Inside Job protection, I would imagine. If they play Inside Job, then you rez both and have stopped them AND wasted a vary good card. If they don't have Inside Job, you can probably rez one and still have enough to score the next turn or, at worst, turn three.
That is, of course, if you don't have a hand full of Agendas and so MUST rez HQ ICE if they run. I'll usually let them hit R&D turn one UNLESS they have Maker's Eye/Medium/R&D Interface/Indexing/etc.
@notyetsuperman - as Scud noted, you probably won't have to rez all your ICE on the very first turn... and yes, the second one is an anti-Inside Job only, otherwise you just need an End the Run in either of them to plausibly stop the runner. This being said, you have to avoid rezzing ICE unless it's really necessary, and you might allow them a peek on R&D on the first turn, especially if you're going to score an Accelerated Beta Test which might give you free and extra protection right after.
This is really a risky deck, you have to go as fast as you can and any mistake might cost you dearly.
Economy is the key factor, obviously, but I'm trying to avoid adding any Asset simply because it would require adding new remote servers, and the more you have, the harder it naturally gets protecting everything.
I thought about adding Pop-up Window for extra income... might remove Neutral Katanas, and add 3 Pop-up Windows instead, but then I'd have 3 more influence which I don't know how to use.
@protocol7 - not convinced here either, but it's the only risky ICE (for the Runner, that is) with low cost out there basically... and I don't think many would expect it in a Next Design deck, to be honest. Hope the surprise will scare some runners away!
I think pop-up window should be a nice addition; beanstalk royalties is good, but green level clearance is a decent replacement
what about Melange Mining Corp? with efficiency committee you can install it and gain 7 credits in the same turn
Yep, I've considered Chimera, and it's actually in the last version of the deck.
Green Level Clearance ain't really a good card in my opinion, but influence being limited, there's not many options. I'd really avoid building remote servers, they slow you down (you need Clicks to build them, ICE that won't go on the central servers, Clicks to use Assets...). I added a couple copies of Successful Demonstration as well, since it could actually work in a deck such as this, especially early game and with Chimera.
Successful demonstration is fantastic in an early game deck too. Early is when youll end up with the most failed runs as thats when the runner is most likely to facecheck ice.
