Good Podcast, I enjoy when you bring in another POV, even when you are both Johnny's.
Johnny is a combo player, he is also creative and likes to play with his own creations. Values winning with styles more than just winning.
Spike is the tournament player, he plays the "best" decks and values winning more than fun and originalty.
Tommy likes to have fun and he likes is cards to do big things no matter the cost. He wants to win impressively but values having fun while winning more than just winning.
You also have variations like a Spike/Timmy, Spike/Johnny etc..
I would actually label my self as all 3. I enjoy winning consitently but I like being original and I like winning big.
Tiny would actually be considered a Spike.
Here is a link to the article if anyone is interested.

I think that we are going to see jedi take on the role of control. The deck I am currently using does just that and does it very well. IT focuses on attacking with smaller units rather then praying you see that han or luke before turn 4.
I think the objective set that has col might be one of those sets that needs more cards in the pool to see why it would be taken. FFG isnt going to release a set that will never be used, thats a waste of their time and money, I actually really love this set, its another swindled but you can force your opponent to defend with it. Col him self has a great effect but TGO is correct about LS having a very hard time winning edge battles.
I really do not know why FFG keeps making cards edge dependent or have "when you win edges" when its so hard to LS to win them in the first place. My only thought on this is maybe it will get to a point where sith control is not as powerful as it is now and you will see more players run decks have that 1-2 force icons (like S&V for example). Maybe they are thinking that you want to force your opponent to through those bigger cards into the edge battle for fear or losing and gaining those edge icons or effects. Time will tell honestly but I will continue to try and build a deck around col, I think this set has a lot of potential some how.
Tinys hoth DS deck I feel lacks resources. I have been testing this deck my self and being able to only place 1-2 cards a turn I feel hurts the DS. Now I will say this is a great deck vs jedi but vs rebels you have zero way to stop objective damage when most of your guys do 1 unit damage. I do like the ability to keep hoth objectives alive but I feel that vs a heavy aggro rebel deck you will struggle. Not to mention rebel assault is your doom when the only cards that do not have 2 HP are stark and the gambit at-st (double check me on that, I am at work and cant look at all the units cards).
Loved hearing your thoughts TGO, thank you for taking the time to share them.
They already play the role of control, or atleast what the LS version of it.
Jedi can't really play that aggro unless you get the nut draw. They need time to establish their board and then they start punching damage through with Luke/Yoda with Lightsabers and Trust your feelings.
I dont think there is much that will make this a competitive set, which is fine. FFG is in the business of making cards whether they are good/bad that is a matter of opinion, and I dont think they care so long as people are buying the force packs. Just because I dont like Col's set doesnt mean others aren't in love with it. Maybe it will be a casual play all star, and thats fine. FFG has to balance the kitchen tables with the tournament tables.
It doesnt have a lot of resources, I think it has 6 cards that give resources, Forward Command Post x2, Motti, General Veers x2, Duty officer. It also has 2 objectives that give you 2 resources. I have not had a resource issue with the deck.
Also, it has a mix of good units that are useful against the Rebels. You have 2 of the Wamps, 1 of the Snowtrooper Vanguard, Snow troopers from Motti's pod, AT-ST's from Endor Gambit. You also have Veers and Starck with tactics but Veers is fragile and is a Rebel Assault target. Rebels are definetly a tougher match for this deck. A key card is Desolation of Hoth because you can let them hit an objective pretty hard and then remove the damage and kill a unit or objective.
However, Killing cold sucks vs. vehicles *and* renegade squadron mobilization.
A.) The reuse of the intro was supposed to be a funny joke. I'm sorry you found it so appalling.
B.) Yeah we do sound checks. Unfortunately, TGO's system was having serious issues. The terrible quality podcast I put out was the result of a Herculean editing effort. So I was left with throw away multiple hours work in which I thought there was some useful information or put out a substandard product. I chose the latter.
Constructive criticism is always appreciated, keep it coming Baz and others. However, and this can be applied more broadly, when providing constructive criticism descriptive words such as lazy and not caring about your work may not be received in the manner they were intended.
However, I also think General's Imperative opens up a bunch of new avenues for the DS. DS is at a very exciting point right now with so many viable builds. Luckily, I think between the next chapter pack and EoD I think LS will be there as well. I think the game will finally be at the place I have been hoping it would reach.
Thanks for the episode btw. I started thinking about the New Jedi pod which I haven't been able to try out yet, but u think I will try it out with the Han pod both for Han himself but also the synergies with theo bjective itself. Too bad you diet diskurs that, was hoping to hear some thoughts around it.
