Please stop making statements that your DS deck is possibly the best in the meta when it clearly didn't preform well at all. Enjoyed the show other wise.
They can think their DS deck is the best. It was just an opinion, just like you have wrong opinions on your podcast.

Tiny- I was the person you played in the last round. The game against your DS deck really swung when you had two Talon Rolls to put 3 damage on all my objectives. I couldn't win fast enough and you were going to win that game handily.

I will be the first to admit that our DS deck did not win worlds. But I do think it's substantially more consistent that the standard Sith Palp/Exec/Vader deck. It is not as explosive to be sure, but it is more consistent. Is it the best in the meta? Only more people playing it will decide that. When out of a field of 100+ only 5 people ran our deck and 75+ ran a Sith variant it is pretty likely the Sith deck will have better results. So if we are going based on results, the Sith deck is clearly better. But if I had to do it over, I'm pretty sure I would still run the Navy deck which leads me to my opinion that it's the top deck in the meta. And yes that is merely an opinion that could be wrong. Though it is one that is backed up by extensive testing. And Brimm thanks for the game. I really thought whoever won 5-4 in our game would be in. I was more than a bit surprised to find out I was wrong.

Something weird must have happened in the last round. Maybe lots of 8-0 wins.

I don't have a lot of people to test with so I went the easy route and played Sith and Han/Cheewie/Falcon with unblockables. I did like your Navy deck and it was nice to see it doing well.

I like you guys could not find a LS deck I really liked so played something that could just win without the opponent really having a chance if the draw was good enough. My DS deck really carried me the whole day and only lost once.

Nice meeting you and I'm a loyal listener to the podcast. Just didn't want to fanboy it up before I tried to beat ya :)

Not really the same thing. Its one thing to say, "this objective set is terrible" then later on find out its not. Claiming that a deck is possibly the best in the meta and not making it to the top 16 or even having a good run with just makes him look silly.

@tiny If it where more consistent then the sith control decks it would have done just that. It didn't. The facts simply do not support your statements.
I do not have data for everyone in our group. But I am pretty sure Tyler did not lose with his Dark Side deck and my only loss was to Kohls flipping up 3 Hoth objectives including 2 Prep for Evacs. I am actually quite happy with how the Navy deck did on the day. It was consistent and strong all day. That is what I was looking for in a DS deck and how I am defining the best deck in the meta. Feel free to define the strength of the deck strictly by what deck won the event, it is certainly a reasonable opinion. What surprised me was our LS deck. I made a serious miscalculation in how it would perform. In testing it was very consistent and only lost to a first turn Palpatine. Unfortunately, I saw a first turn Palpatine and had a game against Kohls where I drew no units. The LS deck was what held our team back much more so than the DS deck. If I had it to do over again I would definitely change up the LS deck. I think it's a good deck, but the existence of the Holocron greatly diminishes its strength. I thought going into the event our LS deck was the best deck in the meta, but I was definitely wrong on that assessment.

Please stop making statements at all!

I like anything with Tallon Rolls. Especially buttered ones served with a nice steak.

Super late to this party, but how did this deck handle sleuth decks?
