I think this should make a good one-of - running two would give you four too many moisture farmers. But I haven't tested that theory out in practice yet.

This objective itself, by the way, shuts down Masterful Manipulation - so if your local meta is full of that one, running this should be good. Especially since the likelihood of the DS player deciding to bury masterful because you might have Embers in your starting objectives sounds incredibly low.

This is a really fun one-of with BtS Luke, both of the enhancements are great on him. Makashi in particular is also really dangerous on Core or MTFBWY Yoda. Optimal? Na. Fun for casual? You betcha.

If I have this out and it is undamaged - does my opponent not get to draw cards when I play Holding All The Cards?

If Embers of Hope is out and undamaged, your opponent won't be able to draw cards when you play Holding all The Cards.
