The Tatooine Crash

The Tatooine Crash

The Tatooine Crash

Type: Objective
Faction: Dark Scum and Villainy
Tatooine.
Reaction: After you refresh, capture the top card of an opponent's deck at this objective, if able.
Imperial forces have flocked to Tatooine in droves, ostensibly searching for the survivors of a recent crash. Suspicious by nature, some locals believe their intent hides a much deeper, and darker, purpose.

No one gets to see the captured card, correct?

Incorrect, DS does.

FAQ page 3:

(2.5) Facedown Captured Cards
The Dark Side player may look at facedown cards
captured at his objectives at any time. Barring a card
effect that allows him to do so, the Light Side player
may not look at facedown captured cards.
Toq is correct. I always peek to see what I'm pulling out of their deck. You may take a Han Solo or just a tauntaun, you never know. Peeking also helps in deciding whether to keep drawing cards off their deck. Once it gets to be two or three cards the LS player must be thinking you've taken something good and won't stop til they get back those cards. Moreover, if you're playing in person knowing what you've taken helps play a little intimidation or bluff with them regarding what you've pulled.
"Peeking also helps in deciding whether to keep drawing cards off their deck"

The reaction doesn't look optional to me. "if able"
Reactions themselves unless "Forced" are optional, but the "if able" makes it so that you don't get stalled out when attempting to capture a card from an opponent's deck if they've drawn their last card.
Right, "Forced Reaction" ; I forgot about that. I need to hone up on my LCG framework knowledge.
Either way, I love this set. The Jawas are good fodder, the sandcrawler makes people think twice about killing it, Utinni is great for a capture deck. Too bad twist of fate sucks ;)

Worst card of all the cards in the game!

Question: When you peek at the card and can't capture it (e.g. it's an event card or fate card) do you just replace it, or do you bury it at the bottom of the other player's deck? I just got EOD, so I've just been replacing it, but I'm not 100 percent sure just how it's supposed to work.

Tatooine Crash can capture event and fate cards no problem. Any card can be captured, but usually the capturing card has a restriction (ex: Fett only captures a character unit he damages, Uttini captures an enhancement). This is not the case.

!!Put this together with the objective that moves captured cards, and take them to Jabba's reach...I can foresee 12 cards in a hand at a time... Much obliged.

Except you would be betting on having a perfect objective draw. Can't just depend on luck.
Adding in the new scum objective with the punishing one helps alleviate a little of that issue, but yeah, otherwise you'd need the dream objective draw to be able to realize that combo.
I would like to note that with 2 sets of those objectives the chance does increase significantly. I did the same with the sarlac pit objective (instead of jabba's reach) to create a lovely discard carrousel of death. And I drew the combination of objectives in quite a lot of matches!

Any card can be captured not just units right?

Any card, you don't even show it to your opponent.

If I replace this during refresh, I would then be able to execute the ability since it says the reaction is after refresh. Right?

correct

Sweeeeet. Comes with Utinni, and 6 Health. I'm liking it.
