My take on this is such:
1. With only one Old Ben Spirit, I assume that I cancel the whole text of OBS and the character is destroyed.
2. With two Old Ben Spirits, I cancel the effect of OBS and assign 1 dmg to a unit, but opponent can use the other OBS and ends with one copy left.
#1 is correct AND the one damage from its worse.
#2 im fairly sure that would mean there would be zero old bens left. old ben reads discard this enhancement and that is its cost. When any reaction, interupt, or card is played the cost MUST be payed before the effect or placement of the card. Therefore i think that when its worse is canceling the EFFECT the first old ben discards itself for no effect. with its worse being resolved after the one damage the lights side player can then interupt once more to sacrafice his second old ben to save the attached character.
