I lost track of how many tie decks I've seen on here. They always have the same 8 standard pods just like this one. The only variation is core set vader tie swapped out for defense protocol. I personally prefer the defense version. You dont really need core vaders tie. The new one is better. While the objective is obviously very useful, the rest of the pod is average at best. Some of the cards just suck. Protocol is also a very good location. Tie attack squad works great with all the fate cards you have. Having 2 talon rolls and 2 death from above events can also be game winners. Even without the core vader pod, you still have 24 black squadron cards in your deck which is plenty.
Yeah, I think having 2x Protocol is almost mandatory due to Tallon Roll/Death from Above/Twist of Fate. They are crucial helping this deck win the Edge and blow up objective or setting up defense, and much more valuable than adding another couple of Black Squadron cards.
