Need help with this strategy. I am trying for a hand control/Recyclable Droid damage deck.????????
I see two basic problems to make effective droid recycling:
1) Aphra gets two focus tokens, so can use her ability rare
2) returned by Aphra droids go to the bottom of the deck at the end of the engagement
Thus, you should have opportunity:
- to refresh Aphra every turn (maybe use new affiliation card Promise of Power that removes additional focus token?)
- often shuffle your deck (Endless Bureaucracy good variant, also look for something here)
Aphra obviously has good synergy with Black Market Exchange (Nar Shaddaa. Location. Enhance your play area. Action: Focus this enhancement and sacrifice a Vehicle or Droid unit to remove 1 or 2 focus tokens from a unit with 1 or more enhancements on it.). This enhancement actually solves both problems and can be well combined with Promise of Power. But you need more enhancements to play on Aphra.
I'm going to try something like that too.
I took third in my local store championship over the weekend with a deck similar to this except obviously instead of Vader's Army, I had 2 x The Dark trooper project and and 2x immeasurable Power -1 Cruel Interrogations. The Deck ran very well No one wanted to attack my probe droids for some reason (LOL). I can't wait till the new set is released so I can play test this deck with the locals.
