Because the OSet Superior Numbers requires it.

FWIW, I think this deck got better with the current errata.

Not completely sold on Endor Gambit. Objective is amazing and the extra Targets of Opportunity are nice. AT-ST are expensive, virtually unplayable without Kuat, and while they have 2 force icons for edge battles, I'm not sure they will really make a difference.

The commander doesn't really do much here, since he has no blast and deck doesn't provide the resources to make use of him.

Finally, the Aft Armor Plating kind of depends on you having one of the bigger TIEs out.

How has it worked?

I actually find it very important. The objective is clutch when out, especially since the carrier is not unique. The foundation of the deck used to include the General's Imperative, so the AT-ATs were pretty good. Additionally, the deck only has 50 Force pips, so these 2x are pretty important. I cannot say I remember having them in hand for more than a turn ever, so in that way they are pretty good. The commander is admittedly the least helpful unit in the deck, though if you can couple him with a precision flying unit, the tactic icon can be clutch. The armor and ToO both have their uses, and the plating has saved more than one unit for me. The enduring issue this deck has is the durability of the TIEs, which would not be as big a problem if the carrier was not dependent on being ready to use its ability.

Adam and I tested version of this deck and endor gambit is good in certain parts, but i like cutting the two endor, adding another black squadron and one dark time.  the tie andvance is bonkers

Hes it right with the errata it is better now, but it still loses to tactics and heats of battle, those are its worst enemies, the goal is to turn 2 blow up at least one maybe two, and then turn 3 blow up objectives so you reach four, cause if the dial even just ticked to 2 then 3 then four objectives is 3-4-6-9-13

I don't necessarily disagree with the swap you suggested. I think (honestly) that the core of this deck doesn't include Endor Gambit, but until the Baron is released it is missing some stable units and help for the carrier.

Indeed, Baron Fel will be a huge power spike for TIE fighters. Everything in that set is just soooo good.

I have been playing a very similar build -1 Endor Gambit, +1 Black Squadron Assault and am having a blast with it. I like the extra Sith objective to get Vaders Tie in.

Doubles your chances (or a little more if you really break it down to the math) In case I do not start out with one and wiff on the Escort Carrier.

So fast !!

It has some tough matchups though and needs to be piloted right.

So happy this is a deck that is competitive, as I love the archetype, so playing it is not only fun competition wise but fun by being flavourful as well !

Hands down my favourite deck to play right now !!!

I like BSA more for the objective than as a way to pay for Vader's TIE.  Leaving it open makes TIE Advanceds sooo good.

I play with 2 BSA, 1 Recon, 1 Gambit right now.  Dark Time occasionally sees play in Gambit's place, but I really like the Target, Armor, and the Commander for tactics to get crucial attacks in.

I could definitely see 2x on BSA, in fact have played it that way instead of Recon Msn.
