My 9 year old built a deck...

With 26 resources, 26 blast and edge buffs all over, this deck proves competitive, a real threat. There's a lot of resource acceleration in this deck. The pilot abilities of Keyan and Luke are really fun. Because this deck usually wins edge, Red 5 strikes first with 3 blast, focusing something, gets popped, and then Luke finishes off the objective. Preparation for Battle is a great objective, offering free strikes with shielded units early and powerful closing strikes late. There are some events that only work with characters, and when Luke or Keyan hit the ground they work well (otherwise they're edge fodder). I know the Ruusan colonists might be mostly useless in a deck that wanted to compete for the force, but I've found it incredibly annoying to have just one of them committed so that my son runs at least edge (1) in every engagement. With Flight and Resolve in play I have a hard time winning edge. There's a whole lot of fun in this deck and my son has a new favorite.
I like this deck. I think I will build on its core and perhaps put in 2 a deep commitment. Probably gonna take out 1 crow and secret of shatipole. Not sure it's better but wanna build on the shield shenanigans. Also Ferus Olin will be extra target for double strike. Above 8 ticks I could imagine force barrier and preparation for battle doing some crazy things, like sending tautauns in for the kill. It's different, I like it

Luke doesn't participate in the engagement, so he can't finish off the objective.
