I am using Desperate Allies affiliation card for 5/5 split and extra focus after refresh

I got the idea with The Last Warrior/Embers of Hope + Sabacc Shift combo, but didn't catch one with Spirit of Rebellion + Spark of Rebellion.

Spirit reads "... After you play a non-[Smugglers and Spies] unit...", so putting unit into play with Spark would not trigger Spirit's reaction. Or what did you mean?

In order to increase chances for discard effects - what if replace 2x Spark of Rebellion with additional House Edge and Stand Together to make classic 6x [Smugglers and Spies], 4x [Jedi] deck with [Jedi] affiliation?

I would need to get ruling on Spark and Spirit but yea the jest would be to spark a unit then trigger Spirit

Rough draft, I'm sure I will tweak it a little but experimenting with new affiliation cards. Thanks for info.

That’s it, sparking a unit does not trigger Spirit because you put it into play, not actually play it

What Lertush said... only I'd prefer dropping two embers, not spark. I don't think the meta is there for a "I win by discard" competitive deck. Although, I do think that having discard/hand disruption as a major theme of a solid deck can really put it over the edge. If you run all specter plus Jyn... you'll probably blow up a lot of objectives, and have an easier time doing it when discarding cards from your opponent's hand.

I took out embers and House edge.

2 X Spark

2 X Spirit

2 X Stand Together

2 X Last Warrior

1 X Matter Under Mind

1 X Tiny Robotic

Let's base on your last post: 2x Spirit, 2x Captured Courier Droid, 2x Ezra to disrupt enemy hand.

It looks like the deck hasn't enough units to take advantage from disruption enemy hand. I think some strong mains should be added.

In order to make some synergy with Jyn and Chopper's pods Hera maybe good choice, for example.

Two more objectives must be Rebel or better influence, so Zeb isn't bad, i think.

In this case the deck would contain 8 Smugglers/influence, 6 Rebel/influence and 4 Jedi/influence pods. Despite the fact Jedi in minor i certainly would choose Rebel affiliation.

Did you test the last variant of deck you described in message above? It would be great if hand disruption effects have potential to become the core of competitive deck.

I have tested it and yea it is a pretty tough deck to run. Mostly dependent on certain combos, but if I can't get it set up. it makes for a tough game. This is definitely my style of play, and maybe as the game progresses it will make this type of deck more competitive.. Thanks for your insight.

Long standing wisdom about running difficult decks is that you need more tactics. Maybe one of the challenges your deck faces is the fact that you only have 2 tactics.
