Death From Above

Imperial Navy Scum and Villainy

Affiliation:
Order by:
Objective Set Type

Total Objective Sets: 0
This deck was inspired by the recent article on some of the lesser used Scum pods. Lots of options for getting ships onto the board. Two sand crawlers to keep your opponents on their toes with backstabber but can also be used for the large number of vehicles in the deck. Originally I tried to make a droid hand control deck with Cruel Interrogations but it didn't work quite as well.

-Opted for Kuat reinforcements over Defense Protocol. Still get Talon Roll x2, a 2x of this pod provides 4 ships that Jabba can into any battle and the Backstabbers work great with the Jawa Trading Crawler.
-I considered adding a defense protocol over repair and refurbish but needed the resources (2 units), and this objective set adds 3 more cards for Jabba to in.
-Jabba's pleasure barge and Slave 1 can be do some serious damage with the tractor beam.
-Tallon Rolling Z-95 Head Hunters can really help bring down the opponents second edge battle and really shuts down speeder decks.
-Ugnaught's heal everything important in the deck.

    Weaknesses:
-Lightsaber deflection (can down the Jawa resources)
-Sleuths, need to hold back your small units to shut them down, or tactics them on offense with Jabba others.

You have next to no Capture mechanic cards, and none that are reliable, but have 4 Weequay. You'll be over paying for them to ever get them into play.

You're Sleuth match-up is beyond horrible given how few units you have to defend them, and how none of those units (except Backstabber) are more then a speed bump since they can't kill them. I don't think you can reliably count on locking them down when you will have the above stated issue getting the Weequay into play. Jabba x1 and Tractor Beam are you only other options and Tractor Beam won't cut it with a Blockade Runner except from Slave 1, which is an expensive proposition.

Yeap I knew sleuths was a weakness, I actually switched around the pods a bit last night and added 2x Jabba's Reach and only 1x Jabba's Orders and it helped a little but not much.

I wasn't trying to make a tournament ready deck more one similar to the recent article posted.

For Sleuth defense I now have:
    -2x Gamorrean Guards
    -2x Logistics Officers
    -2x Traitorous wingard
    -2x Ugnaught
    -2x Tiefighter
    -2x Tiebomber

Plus backstabbers than you can play into combat if you defend with one of the above, it's a fun deck to play in some local games when the stakes aren't high.

needs less weequay. needs more jawa.
I think iron swimsuit is right, drop one jabba's orders for a tatooine crash. You get the auto capture for slave 1, utinni, a twist and a couple jawas for tactics against sleuths.
