The Idea is to totally overwhelm the opponent with Blast damage and fast advance the Death Star Dial. Tarkin makes this challenge a bit less difficult and Orbital Bombardments really buff out the Destroyers. Devastator helps out with it's reaction to pump the dial and Super Laser Blast is, well...Super laser Blast.

Aft armor plating can be really usefully on a Devastator and AT-STs and Tactics heavy LS decks. Motti also helps out against those decks as well also giving your the option to commit an offensive unit, such as Death Squadron Star Destroyer, to the force and still have in viable in defense.

Does this deck work? I have no Idea. It more than likely won't. lol. It looks like it will be fun, which in all honesty is all I really want our of it, but in any case....

I will find out tomorrow as I will be playing it for the first time. I'm really worried about Heavy Tactics LS decks as I only have so much shielding. This deck is only supposed to care about advancing the dial by destroying objectives.

I'll post back tomorrow with results, regardless of if they are amazing or horrific. Cheers.

I have the same deck built right now but have not played it. It seems good though. Lots of resources, decent at controlling the force, good defenses and star destroyers for winning late game. I'll post again if/when I get to play it.

I built this deck as well. I only have a few games each way in terms of playtesting, but I felt like the deck improved when I dropped the Tarkin pod in favor of 2x Defense Protocol for more spot unit removal. I thought I would notice the loss of those Control Rooms more than I actually did, and while Tarkin is powerful the pressure applied by the Protocol and the knowledge you'll probably get in a few Targeted Strikes of your own really seemed to help against both Jedi and Rebel decks. I need to get some more games in with those setups, though - I haven't yet played somebody using Echo Caverns, for instance.
I played this same deck twice the other night.

The first game I got the best draw I've gotten with it. Starting objectives were Deploy the Fleet, 2x Imperial Command. Got Defense Upgrade, Admirial's Orders and played turn one Devestator and Star Destroyer Death Squadron. I won that game easily.

Second game was more how I think the deck with actually play. Some Stormtrooopers and resources the first couple of turns, build up my defense, control the force then hit them with the Star Destoryers. I had one objective destroyed, but destoryed 4 of his.

I really like this deck and will be trying to play it a lot more in the future. Nothing beats blowing up objectives with Star Destroyers!
