This deck does not count on getting Leia as much as it does Han. In that respect I think you could perhaps replace Decoy at Dantooine with Alderaan's Promise for the search you get from Tantive IV. Shout out to Bolder and the rest of my local meta for coming up with this deck idea. |

It exactly like Too Short for a Stormtrooper. But with so few cards in the card pool and some of the pods asking to put into certain decks that is going to happen.
It gives us a good chance to talk about it, because likely Zach and FMG are piloting it very differently. I think the Decoy is likely still pretty important because it is 2 more bounce options for Han or Leia. Tantive could be good but you could probably swap Renegade Squadron out to put Tantive in. Renegade Squadron has a lot of synergy and Echo Caverns is pretty awesome, but it's probably the least important moving part.
I was thinking about a deck pretty similar but with Chewie instead of the Falcon. I liked the extra wookie synergy, but thinking about the utility of the Falcon I definitely think this is better. I'm keen to give it a whirl. I love off the wall decks, and I love Leia.
I like this idea. The only really big character you're currently dropping in with the falcon in the original list is Han. What would you think about dropping renegade squadron, going to 2x decoy at dantooine for more bounce options and an extra wookie to go along with 2x chewie? If you're able to get protect going with wookie life debt that gives you further options for choosing exactly when han/leia are going to leave the board.
I think I was playing around with the idea of 2x Rebel Han, 2x Defense of Yavin 4, 2x Leia, 1x Dantooine, 2x Chewie and then 1x Renegade or Falcon. I personally don't think rescuing Leia is a big deal, she'll likely end up on an objective you've targeted already and you get her back at the wrong time anyway. So Renegade synergies aren't amazing in that regard. But having Falcon to drop her back if you do rescue her could be good. Both ships are pretty strong. Falcon is a better attacker but Renegade Squadron can lock up more parts of their board to allow the Leia combo to shine.
But then as FMG said Han is probably the nuts of this build, not Leia, which is a good reason to use the Falcon. I like that the Chewie pod gives you potential protectors along with let the wookie win and obviously Chewie. But I do see how the ships might make a better deck. I think it comes down to playstyle.
I don't think I would double up on Dantooine though. The best card is a a new hope which is situation at best and you have Han to fetch it for you when you or if you need it.
If the core of the deck is Rebel Han, Leia, Dantooine and Defense of Yavin 4 then you have 3 pods to play with. Other options include Alderaan and Home One. But some people might see it differently. IMO Bright Hope is only really truly useful if you can get an Astromech on it, so I definitely want Defense of Yavin 4 for the resource, the droid and the Rebel Assault, but I've seen a rebel only version of a Han Leia deck that doesn't use DoY4 and it works.
Definitely some fun to be had trying out some different variations of this build.
I was also wondering about maybe the B-Wings instead of Home One. It's just a lot more blast damage over the various units and it has the mini Rebel Assault. You lose a resource though by using them instead of Home One or Renegade Squadron.
