| I found traditional Rebel decks two narrow minded and limited just to destroying objectives, without too much options for strategic or defensive play. This deck has still lots of blast damage, but at the same time provides also a lot of unit damage icons and various tricks to interact and control your opponent. I put a special emphasis on combating Imperial Navy decks. For this purpose there are two copies of Ackbar's set, which has an amazing collection of anti-Navy cards. In addition to these cards we have the Ion Cannon Burst from Prepare to Evacuation. All this together should provide enough firepower to clear opposing vehicles and slow him down enough for the win. Another focus of the deck is protection and survival of own units. Renegade Squadron Escort together with Repair Droid is almost unfair. There is also a bit of shielding from the Fleet Command Center. The final high point of the deck is the large amount of units in it. Rebel deck sometimes can have problems with drawing too much junk cards, which come in some of the other commonly used objectives. However here we have 22 relevant vehicles (and 4 additional great characters) and very few irrelevant cards (only the Hoth Survival Gear is completely useless). Six objective damage fate cards is an icing of the cake. |
