Smugglers Den 2.0

Smugglers and Spies Jedi Tournament Quality

Objective Set Type

I have been running with this deck from the day the newest force pack came out. At first I had the new smugglers and spies set but in the end I didn't feel it was needed, yet. I think once the EOD comes out it will be a great set to have.

This deck can really stall for time and give you a ton of objective defense. Being able to get 4 guardians and 4 tanks is just crazy. Not to mention hoth scout is a easy shield token.

You are almost never resource starved because you have most of the units costing less then 3, with luke, han, and kenobi being the big spenders.

I will say the decks biggest weakness is my current navy deck I am running, or any navy deck. The darkside attacks very quick and its hard for you to defend at times.

Great deck and I would highly recommend giving it a try.

I would like to actually make a change to this deck. I have replaced kenobi for Last minute rescue. Still doing some testing but it synergies really well with the whole deck.
Tried this one. Wins with low dial, but the games take forever...
Tried this one on OCTGN last week and it didn't work at all. Since then, won a couple of casual games with it and then went 3-0 with it at a league tournament with the dial at 5, 5, and 6 for those wins. When it successfully sets up, it's nasty.
Yeah I am still not 100% happy with it yet. If you dont get luke or han out quickly the games do drag and I have found that a navy deck will walk all over this as well.
Exactly my thoughts - Navy will capitalize (I want to say literally :) ) on slow starts.
I haven't really had much trouble with slow starts with this deck (I'm running Obi-Wan, not LMR). Unlike the previous iteration of the Smugglers Den it will usually have some units to play even when they aren't bombs. Between the tactics and the shields, it can usually (though not always) buy time. Once Luke or Han hit the table with a shield source, things get crazy. Luke especially with his ability to attack and defend is hard to beat while invincible, really only leaving Force Lightning as an option.

Yeah I am thinking about taking out LMR and putting in 1 copy of the new smugglers pod and 1 copy of kenobi. Thoughts?
I honestly like this with double Kenobi despite how much I love Renegade Squadron. It gives you an extra surprise shield source that is free plus Jedi Mind Trick to play along with your tactics. That said, subbing in a single copy of Renegade Squadron is a reasonable thought that I'll have to try sometime.
I use 2 Rogue Squadron Mobilization in my Jedi/Smugglers deck but mine is 6 sets different from your current version.

What is your current deck line up? Id like to take a look at it and compare. I promise I wont steal it and post it as my own >.<
    Lol
Anything else than main first turn is pretty much slow start. And as with original Jedi, you cant afford to do that since he will prolly get roasted. That's what I meant - this deck needs to setup first, unfortunately.

I just don't think this is accurate for this deck. Especially if you manage to start with Prep for Battle on table you can play any number of other cards and take back the force balance and defend for a turn. Arguably, a turn 1 main without a way to shield it is not the right play compared to dropping a guardian and a speeder tank turn 1 and waiting for Luke or Han until turn 2.
