So yeah, this deck is definitely kind of gimmicky. And there are definitely advantages to running either Bala or a Nightsister over the 4th Stormtrooper. Those benefits probably even outweigh the few advantages there are to going all-in on the Trooper strategy. But I just can't help myself. I just want so bad for this to work.
Thr strategy is simple enough. You basically just want to change the rules and replace every card with Squad Tactics. In reality, as with most aspects of this game, it's actually quite a bit more complicated than that. On top of being aggressive and aiming to put on lots of fast damage you ideally want to spread your opponent's damage around to keep your Troopers alive longer. The Best Defense... helps with this to a degree, and to this end I'm considering adding Personal Escort as well.
Nowhere to Run seems on paper to be ideal for this deck, as 7 of your die have 2 blanks each. Need to practice with it more to see if it's truly worth the card and resource investment, though.
Mine is similar. I think with this deck you have to accept that you'll almost always lose Claim, but War Room probably is still the best choice.
I think Commanding Presence serves better than Promotion, as we've no melee to add the +melee to in the deck, and the Focus makes Stormtrooper dice much more effective.
