Death troopers will make this card so much better, for 5 resources you will get 10 hit points and great die back, compared to 7 hit points and very average die.
On the face of it sure. There's some subtleties to consider, though.
A setup of three Death Troopers compared to 4 Stormtroopers has four fewer resource icons on their dice. This in turn makes Logistics weak, and Drudge Work means losing 1/3 of your firepower rather than a 1/4 of it. That makes 3x Death Troopers + Endless Ranks way less appealing than it could be, as 5 resources is a lot to gather just by waiting.
There's not a lot of room for 2 Death Troopers + Character either: the pricing point makes a Phasma combo less efficient, for example.
Overall, I expect Death Troopers to mostly be used x1, and in that context, I can't see it being worth using Endless Ranks with them. On the other hand, any deck with 2 or more Stormtroopers, it's definitely worth considering this card.
