Every deck you make will have one or more flaws. This card let's you discard a card that you know can hurt you AND it let's you see at least one card your opponent might use against you, which you can act accordingly after.
Also great for helping set up Multiple Ackbar triggers in the same turn. Oh I just emptied your hand and pinged you, here have this 0 cost card so I can ping you again when you play it (or I use Scout)
