Seems like it doesn't fit your theme, but I'd drop 2x Song of Wisdom for Rivendell Minstrel. I'd also drop 1x Ithilien Pit for 1x Long Defeat. I'd also drop a few Ranger Bows and a Poisoned Stakes for 3x Ambush. It is a trap from Land of Shadow and is absolutely amazing.
A few other cards to consider would be: A Test of Will, Expecting Mishief, Quick Ears, Strength of Will and Take No Notice. Of those, Take No Notice and Quick Ears fit into the theme of this deck very well.
Since you plan to play with the other deck running Sam, I'd squeeze in a copy of Fast Hitch or Unexpected Courage or even a Steed of the Mark to help with action advantage/questing.
Over all, I like the theme and what the deck is trying to accomplish. Traps and Haldier are a great combination. If you plan on the other deck putting attachments on Haldier, which I recommend, you might include Renewed Friendship. It is an excellent card for this type of deck building.
oh, and maybe a Blood of Numenor to help Mablung defend
