Spirit of the Eagles

Galadriel helps Boromir 'lift' his 'spirits' on the wings of Eagles.

Deck creation context: As with all my decks this is played in a 2 player setting with my wife. This may or may need to be tweaked for solo.

This deck should explain itself I would think. I've been working for a while on a really solid eagles deck, and I think I finally landed one with this.

Eagles and Boromir provide the combat side of things, Mablung helps pay for those expensive eagles, and spirit allies help with willpower along with Galadriel who also provides a bit of healing/threat reduction/card draw.

Galadriel is a great choice as the 'support' hero for an eagles deck since she A, can have lots of will power. B) use Mirror of Galadriel to get the cards you need in order (Eagles of the Misty Mountains).


Once you get Nenya you can use the lore icon on Galadriel to start buying healing cards, you could splash other lore (Wingfoot for Mablung possibly), but I like to keep my splashes extemely small if I can help it.


Boromir is one of the most ideal heroes to receive Support of the Eagles because he can both defend and attack through his printed ability, and he has pretty good all around stats to begin with. Put two copies of Support of the Eagles if you get the chance.


Use Elrond's council/Gandalf/Galadrihm's greeting to lower threat. Or galadriels printed card draw/threat reduction ability once you get unexpected courage.

There is a sprinkling of all creatures so that Radagast can help buy/heal them. It may be tempting to throw in more beornings but the Giant Bear is the only one with the creature keyword.

Use mirror of galadriel in this order: Nenya, Radgast, Healing, threat reduction. Make adjustments as needed by the quest.
