Get a Dwarf ally into play as early as possible to activate the 5+ Dwarves abilities.

King Under the Mountain and Legacy of Durin provide card draw to help pack out your hand. The Songs of Battle and Wisdom are there to smooth out resources, be sure to give them to Thorin first as he generates the most resources per turn.

Use Daeron's Runes to flush duplicate Dwarves from your hand but don't be afraid to hold onto the occasional duplicate to be played as a replacement after chump blocking if it has to come down to that. Hold onto Lure of Moria, Durin's Song, A Test of Will, Khazad! Khazad!, Hasty Stroke and Quick Strike for the Do or Die situations. Don't forget to keep a few resources free to pay for them when they're needed!

Keep Dori ready to save a hero from death and use Will of the West to reset the deck after you've chewed through all your event cards. In the sticky situations where a high threat location is in the staging area and preventing from you successfully questing on the current location, use Thror's Map to swap them.

Unsurprisingly in a Thorin deck, Thorin is the powerhouse of the three heroes; give him two axes to make him an extremely powerful attacker every round. Bombur is already a formidable defender so give him A Burning Brand and Ring Mail to solidify him in this role.

Give the rest of the axes to your allies, preferably those with high attack already and give the remaining Ring Mail to a supporting defender.

Most importantly, engage and destroy enemies as early and as frequently as possible, don't let them rush you all at once!
