Could be cool with the new Hunter's ploy. No hammers though =/

I love the Kroot resource theme. Could be timed interestingly with the other Kroot.

So because it is a combat action and reads limit once per phase, does it gain +X at the time of the action until the end of the phase?  Or does the effect fluctuate as you spend your resources during the phase?  Decent if you can give him a high ceiling atk and then spend your resources as needed but not really worth it if his atk drops as you play events.

Time of the action, then stays fixed. So yes you can buff it and then spend on events/ambush. Or alternatively you can wait until a Carnivore Pack dies or you Death Serves the Emperor something and then buff it afterwards.

Hmm, could work. Reminds me a lot of possessed, but with +2HP in place of the 1 Command, and obviously a wholly different context and economy.

Shame there's no way to give any sort of movement abilities to this unit. Herald of the Tau'va I guess.

so looks like it's a guy for AunShi, prior to ambushing Prelate

As well as Herald, there's Tactical Withdrawal so it can hedge P1 and P2. I think Tactical Withdrawal is under-rated. You can also use Inspirational Fervor out of Starblaze, Squadron Redeployment out of Shadowsun, and Ethereal Wisdowm & Kau'yon/Orbital out of Aun'Shi. Sure, none of that achieves the, "wait until my opponent has taken his combat turn, then ping across to the battle wherever it is" of Teleportarium, but it's something.

I guess the other big problem for Tau is that there's very little reason to go in-faction with Elites, when Enclave and Bonesinger give such efficient discounting. That in mind, the only time I'd run Tau elites is if I'm not running discounters at all, but just want a 5-coster to top out the unit curve: even then, Shrieking Exarch seems a better choice, because its a better card with a better ability that accepts attachments.

Love those movement options though. Maybe there is a deck that is all about mobilising the Krootox.

I guess for completeness, lets add Tense Negotiations to the list, as that can work Plannum.

Oh scratch Squadron Redeployment, just realised it's No Attachments full stop, not just Wargear :(
