More food for
EndlessPreemptive Barrage.Worr told me he likes this guy, too. 4/3 on green planets, a threat your oponent can't ignore for long, but then again he does not want to kill it too early because another guy might stand up and hit his face again...
Just imagine 3 of this guys with Worr (+ Pistol for more hilarity) on a green planet, with 1 Barrage + 2 Summary Executions -> 3*4 dmg, kill 1 guy, draw a card, ping 1 dmg, 2*4 dmg, kill a guy, draw 1 card, ping 1 dmg, 1*4 dmg...26 dmg in ranged from 8 sources.
It wouldn't be 3*4, then 2*4, then 1*4, but rather 3*4, then 1*4, then one more 1*4.
Either way, it's still a nice new card that makes the Coteaz combo tricks better as well as encouraging more AM 'big units' instead of weany stuff, since it makes those questionable returns on your huge vehicles that might get ganged up on and killed in a round suddenly get another swing or two.
It's a game changer.
Ah yes, got too excited to do correct math ^^''
Nick's correct in his calculations. The only additional point I'd like to make is that if the planet is already green Summary Execution can still be used but it would fail when it checks for the planet's colour, meaning that you can perform the execution but not reach the end of the first sentence, hence not be able to draw a card. Doesn't change its use in this scenario but limits the net yield
I'd also argue that fitting in Noble Deed into a non-Coteaz deck running these guys would increase their value since each sacrifice would yield even more damage. Plus, there's the natural synergy with the Cadian Mortar Squads (ping these guys to ready something else whilst readying the Mortars)
Vanguard was designed to benefit from the three WLs. He's a soldier (Straken), good stats for Worr and is deadly if combined with anxious infantry and a sac outlet, he has a 'leaves play' trigger which Coteaz loves. 3R though is already steep but the stats are good.
Finally a second target for Worr to put Honorifica Imperialis on :-)
Replacing the Interrogators right away ? Yes sir !
The Planet gains a second Green Icon. I think this has been discussed int he rules section already.
Whilst it does gain a second icon, the "then" part of summary execution requires the planet to have not had a green icon before. Here's the relevant ruling for reference: http://www.cardgamed...en-icon-planet/
