If this was non-signature or if Enginseer Augur could search for it (he can't because he's loyal PLUS can only fetch AM supports), I would love it.  But as it is, the decisions I make to support Starblaze's Outpost tend to be different from the decisions I would make for the rest of the deck, and you can't go all out to combo with the Outpost because it's so far from a guarantee to get one.

Still likely to get some use out of it when it sees play, but would be really fun if it were possible to build around.

Absolutely. Even with a strict mulligan rule you're only looking at seeing this card in 26% of opening hands.

On the other hand, this Warlord is so command strong that I wouldn't be surprised if a typical game dug 28-40 cards deep into the deck, so we'll see this card in hand on more than 50% of games. As you say, you can't build around odds like that, but you can have a deck that can maximise the potential of that situation when it does occur, just so long as you're not compromising deck quality by doing so.

So, for example, picking Sanctioned Psyker over IGR may be smart, as the former will survive a punch from a warlord and can then be swapped out for a fighting Tau unit. Thats no great strain on deck quality, as Sanctioned Psyker and IGR are both great cards anyway.

Since it is "put into play" that means you can't bring in a Gun Drone as an attachment with this, right?

Would be cool if you could.

Yeah, gun drones may only be *deployed* as an attachment.

But that's not the only reason it doesn't work. Even if gun drones could be put into play as an attachment, doing so would put an attachment, not a unit, into play. And this card says to put a Tau unit into play.
