Gut and Pillage helps a lot. Maybe not to play it turn 1, but turn 3 or so I can see chaos decks affording it.

I think it could have a place.  Y'varn triggers are still a thing to get this dude out.  Being  immune to Power events is not trivial.  Particularly Squiggify, Doombolt, Doom and Terror.   It means when Backlash comes out you won't have to use it on every little trick.

This guy can be brought out turn 1 with the right combinations.

I would want to do it at least once for the lulz, though it will probably lose you the game.

can I just use this for my war lord plz :)

Grey Knights is one of my favorite SM chapters and I really hope they will show up in Conquest someday. They better have an ATK bonus against daemon units.

This guy is immune to Squiggify. If ever played against Orks, that's probably gg right then and there, the only other available option being Suppressive Fire (not for Gorzod). It won't see play that often, but it's not like it's not achieveable to get this guy in play either. Y'varn of course, but a SPA and a PoG make this guy just 6 resources. If he ever enters play, just asume a fetal position on the ground, try not to cry, cry a lot.

I love Grey Knights too, but I really don't like the idea of trait-specific hosing. Better instead to give them a broader ability that has the emergent property of being good against daemons.

Yeah there are definitely decks I have seen in CO meta that would run this card and win with it. The game is shifting toward being able to use larger units imho so well see how it goes .

this guy is good in zarathur. swings for 9

True, but maybe a swing of eight, potentially with armorbane, will be enough anyway ;)

More importantly, with Zarathur, you've got a good chance of destroying a unit before your first combat turn.

thats the joke

(Sentimental Marine) When I was a kid my mother told me that "there were no monsters". I understand now that she was speaking "probabilistically".

5 snotlings beat down this Bloodthirster in a fair fight.

Mom was right. There are no monsters!

Mom was right. There are no monsters!

My mom told me tales about Snotlings at night :S

Hi guys! Long time reader, first/second time poster (depending on which post will be approved first xD).

Would this guy be affected by "Power from pain"? Since it seems that it is the player being targeted who in turn chooses who to sacrifice.

Thanks.

Yes, he would. You are completely right: Power From Pain targets a player rather than a unit, and so the Bloodthirster won't at any point be directly affected by the power, just the outcome of it.

Power from Pain can't destroy a Frenzied Bloodthirster afaik: http://www.cardgamed...ower-from-pain/

You must select a different army unit.

Power from pain does not effect Bloodthirster
