Since it just says Genestealer units, that means warlord + any other genestealer = infestation. Nice.

really 2 genestealers :(

Don't forget that Omega himself is a Genestealer, so it's not too arduous to get two where you need it.

Still seems a bit off-balance to me. It's great to be able to infest as an action, but Omega wants infested planets plus Genestealer units waiting in hand to ambush them in during the combat phase. Putting either two down as a deploy (or one and committing Omega himself) means you'll rapidly strip out your ambush options.

Would rather it was 2 'Nid units and maybe a Combat Action to restrict. Or 2 Stealer cards rather than units, so at least it counted attachments.

Two Genestealers is fine. You have to think further than the first battle.

You want to setup the stage, and be able to infest on the fly.

Playing Harvesters, Brood and Invaders during deploy is useful.

Especially if you get more command and are thus able to get Ambush options ( card draw )

and afford them ( ressources ).

Maybe a little backwards, but a fine card. Harvesters, Brood, and Invasive genestealers are all fine to deploy. Does not have to be an ambush fest all the time.

x3 of?

I'm specifically thinking further than the first battle. To get this going on the first turn you need to use three of your opening six cards to achieve one instance of Infect, or two cards and telegraph where your Warlord might go, and then have something in hand which benefits from that Infect.

Who knows, I'll definitely give it a play test as there's a long history of Conquest cards looking mediocreon paper until you actually get them on the table in a game. I've only actually played with Omega once as the cards took so damn long to come out, so still trying out the fine tuning.

Just a shame it's not a Deploy Action as then you could Insta-enable Toxic Venomthropes' bonus.

It says "Action". Correct me if I'm wrong here but doesn't that mean it is usable during any phase?

There is, however, only one action window in the Command Phase, and that is after resources are gained.

It can be triggered during deploy phase . You just need two genestealers at the planet to infest.

If you are counting on your warlord coming in, then first opportunity is at the end of command phase.

Just remember cards aren't stuck in time, and i can imagine them being designed with future expansions in mind. This card with Omega+synaptic Genestealer is really, really good.

Question it doesn't target a planet, does it infest every planet with 2 genestealers at it?

"Exhaust this support to infest a planet ......"

The "a" here is what limits it to one planet, given how actions are triggered

What do Omega players think of this card these days? Last post was in May.

I have struggled to get lots of value out of this card, but I know Omega players who love it. How do you use this card and when does it really shine?

While it should work well with keening synapse, because so few people like keening......

I think I will run 2 of each Supports now ( Nesting Chamber, Spore Chimney, Digestion Pool)
If ever I come around to playing Omega again ;)

I did play Omega again yesterday, and I got to make great use out of Keening Maleceptor  and lots of infestation. Although Nesting Chamber took no part in it, it kept me flexible all the time. Thumbs Up
